I was very hesitant to try yoga because I have a bad shoulder and tight hamstrings. Jen was the perfect yoga instructor and made appropriate modifications for me without making me feel like I couldn’t keep up with the advanced yogis. I leave her class feeling like I got a great workout and improved mental focus. After just a few sessions with Jen I felt stronger and could touch my toes again! I have been with Jen for two years now both in group and private settings. I have a background in dance, gymnastics, have a bachelor of science in Physical Education and was a dance and exercise teacher (a very long time ago) – I know how my body is supposed to move. Unfortunately, about 15 years ago I stopped all my stretching and have paid the price. I’ve suffered from back pain, joint pain and just overall stiffness and discomfort. Jen has brought me back to health. I feel stronger, more flexible and most importantly no longer have pain. I have taken classes at various yoga studios but have not found a teacher whose class has such excellent balance. With every move Jen makes there is a counter move which balances the body and brings you back to your body’s center. Jen always provides an option for a more or less difficult move and is motivating but never pushes to the point that I could injure myself. The excellent quality of her class aside Jen is a lovely person. She is calm and balanced, approachable, gracious and has a great sense of humor. I highly recommend Jen’s yoga.
